On January 1, 2019, I opened up a store on Etsy.com https://www.etsy.com/shop/DavisForms due to having been told by multiple medical professionals that I should do for others what I've done for my parents in terms of medication lists and other forms/charts.  I figured that with my schedule it would be easiest to open up a digital shop for generic blanks of some of the stuff I've done.

I know that people can and do have things like their own medication lists and such or have an app that has the listings.  At the same time I do know that not everyone has the mentality to maintain them or has a way to print them them from an app so having sheets that can be used to either fill in as needed or to be used as a template for their own versions is a good thing especially if they purchase a copy of what I have on my site to either fill in as needed or to use as a template.

I don't know how to approach a friend about her son

I am friends with my neighbor and her 3 kids.  Her oldest son who is 11 years old loves being around me and playing football or games on our phones.

I've noticed that around certain boys he seems to do a lot of joking around sexually.  Today I believe he took it too far with his sexual joking because he did a couple things which were inappropriate that made the other boy we were playing football with feel uncomfortable.

I told the boy to go tell my neighbor what her son did to him, at first he said he would then after a few minutes he decided it wasn't worth telling my neighbor about what happened.

I want to approach my neighbor about what happened but where I didn't actually see the stuff happen due to my neighbors son intentionally doing the stuff when my back was turned to them and the boy it happened to saying he wouldn't say anything I don't don't know how to approach my neighbor without making myself look bad.

Perplexed by a neighbors child's actions

I know that my neighbors kid is going through puberty and will joke around with friends certain ways  which includes sexually based jokes for his age group but the amount of joking around with friends along with not being able to tell if he's joking or serious at times he has caused the friends of his that I know to call him gay as he's doing the joking and will continue to joke around that way.

He also tends to tell friends of his that are in a higher grade than him that he has a girlfriend but tells his friends in the same grade as him and adults that he doesn't have a girlfriend and has in the past told me that he's not interested in girls but at the same time he hasn't come out saying that he likes boys either.

The boy does like to do boy things but he'll do things while doing things that boys like to do that make you wonder if he's joking or for real and over the past year or so the joking and the things make you wonder haven't aside from increasing in frequency and intensity what he does has gone unchanged.

I do not know how to explain what he does without making people think that I am a pervert, but there is something that he did tell me with in the past year that has stuck with me and that is him having gone up to me and told me how boys have babies.  When he said that I told him boys have babies by having sex with girls and then he went further and said "I mean boy on boy" for which I asked how and he said that they adopt.  I do not know where that came from but he did go out of his way to tell me and don't know if he would even remember having said it where it was months ago.

I do not know how to go to his parents to question whether he's just joking around or if he's really the way acts given that he seems over the top at times when he does joke the way he does

why aren't we doing....

With the fact we still have:

a lot of people unemployed/under employed

a real need to increase the amount of clean drinkable water

a real need to grow more food

a real need to create more energy and protect our energy sources

a real need to rebuild and expand on our infrastructure


I keep wondering why we aren't doing more to:

Desalinate water on a larger scale through building multiple desalination plants along the coastline with finding ways to supply energy to the desalination plants that would not be a drain on the resources we already use

use large arid areas that are known to be hot as farm land with creating a water pipeline from one or more water desalination plants to have a constant supply of water for the crops and any farm animals that can tolerate the heat well enough to thrive.

find more sources of energy and up scaling those energy sources that are already proven to work but are still in small scale and to incorporate things like solar panels into new building as part of the overall part of the design of the facade to incorporate the panels into the overall look.

actually deal with the crumbling infrastructure that we call our modes of transportation, our utilities and such to the point that we actually expand on what is already there to accommodate the ever growing populations with using double or triple the expected population growth in upgrading and expanding so we don't fall short of what we need.

doing this would help solve a lot of the problems plaguing our society while also putting millions of people to work partly with short term jobs with things like construction and manufacturing and permanent jobs that includes creating the water, growing the food/energy, the upkeep of the infrastructure, and the manufacturing jobs that would be needed to be able to maintain each of these.

thoughts on the drought going on in the western part of the U.S.

In the western part of the U.S. there has been a drought going on for the last few years with no real change in the foreseeable future by meteorologists.

The question is what do the municipalities and companies going to do about the need for water versus the lack of available drinkable water.

I think that each U.S. state that has coastline should be desalinating water with the states closest to the drought stricken areas of the country doing the most desalinating given the increased need for water.

Yes desalinating sea water is expensive but what I'd like to see happen is that the water itself be directed on the intake end in such a way that would help create as much of the energy needed as possible.  Where we use dams in rivers to create reservoirs and to create energy, why cant we design large scale holding tanks that permit intake from the tides and by a siphon with the intake having water turbines that can be powered by both the siphon and the high tide?

Where there are water turbines that work with the ocean currents and a siphon creates a man made current in a tube, why can't they be adapted to be used with a siphoning effect for the intake of ocean water for a water desalination plant to help create the needed energy?

Why can't we use the facade and roofs of the buildings that would be a part of the desalination process to house solar panels facing the path of the sun?

Given the advances in windmill technologies why can't we have rooftop windmills on the property or rooftop windmill type windmills in strategically placed areas between buildings to catch the wind as it goes around the buildings where the space between buildings can act like a wind tunnel.

The cost of desalinating water is expensive but what are the economic and environmental costs of not doing as much large scale water desalination as possible in the areas where we have millions of people and countless farms that would be hurt or helped by doing or not doing desalination?

If we started doing a lot more large scale desalination we would create badly needed jobs for every step along the way from building to running the plants.

Why is it that most wheelchairs are dark colors?

Before my brother Tommy had gotten hit by the car, I had already been asking myself why the manufacturers of wheelchairs tend to use dark colors for their wheelchairs where it causes safety issues for the user if they are ever in an area where they need to use the roads at night when there are no sidewalks and at crosswalks.

I had been asking myself to the point that I had bought reflective tape and reflectors for my moms and a friends electric wheelchairs a couple weeks before my brother had gotten hit by the car.  After he got hit, it showed the inherent problems with the dark colored wheelchairs when it comes to safety, and I concerned enough to decide to buy reflective tape and reflectors for a neighbor in my apartment complex so that way she can use them if she feels that she needs them.

Safety for those who need any type of mobility devices is paramount when they are being manufactured.  Those who need to utilize mobility devices have limited options in terms of colors that permit them to be seen by oncoming traffic with the only color being used is chrome for some metal parts but it isn't an industry standard for safety.

I feel that the manufacturers of mobility devices should be required to manufacture their products to be highly visible when in low light situations, whether it be a paint job with reflective properties or if there are items that glow in the dark with the material being able to glow in the dark for as long as possible.

About my brother Thomas James Davis

On September 5, 2014 my brother Thomas James Davis who was living in Hawaii was struck by a car on his way home and subsequently died due to his injuries.

Even though he may have not wanted to listen to family and friends on certain things he will be greatly missed by many people.

As much as a pain in the butt he was at times, he was a good person.

Tommy may you Rest in Peace and I hope that you are in a far better place where you are able to walk with out the aid of crutches or a wheelchair and with being able to hear people again.

it's been a while

Its been a while since I last posted due to things happening in my life that has had me preoccupied with other things and haven't had the time post my opinions or ideas.

I had to take the time to sit down and post something where I feel that the Politicians especially a minority of them wanting things their way regardless of what should happen.

The politicians have been acting like spoiled brats rather than leaders in the sense that they don't want to compromise when compromise is necessary or warranted and instead demanding that they get everything that they want under the terms and conditions that they want.

Time for them to grow up and treat the country as they see it which is one of the greatest countries out there instead of a political chess match that will inevitably bring down the country if they don't get with it.

I have been unemployed for roughly a year and a half and given the way the economy looks I may end up unemployed for a lot longer where a lot of companies are now being very selective in who they hire due to the amount of people now looking for work regardless of whether they are listed as unemployed due to receiving unemployment benefits or they have used up their unemployment benefits.

The worst part is that some companies are starting to require degrees for positions where degrees may be helpful but are not required in general and if the companies don't want a degree then they want experience which puts a lot of people looking for work at a disadvantage if they lack the degree or the experience.

I'd like to find a job soon due the fact it is demoralizing to be out of work and to have to borrow money that would take a long time to pay off due to not having a job.

If I could I would go into business given that I was told I should but the closest thing I can do to that is a side job under the table until I got the money up to start one.

I wish I knew something about marketing especially online marketing using social media to promote the site I put together in order to help earn some extra cash or to actually turn into a full time business.

I put together the site due to having been told by a few doctors that I should go into business putting together what I call a Home Health Organizer and Planner after seeing what I did for my parents in regards to putting together one for my parents where the doctors thought it was well organized and the doctors stating that they wish more patients had what I put together.

Granted there are things like the I.C.E. Credit Card and other things that first responders, medical clinics and medical specialists would need to know up front but you if you have a computer, you would have to feel comfortable using the software and if you do not have a computer you have to go t someone you trust that has a computer that would be willing to help you put the information into the item.

My Home Health Organizer and Planner does have a sheet that allows you to fill in the information such as who each of your doctors are, their office information and medications listed by doctor with the dosing instructions. The sheet also allows you to give other pertinent information such as allergies and known medical conditions along with the hospital information if you are routinely seen at a specific hospital.

My planner also has a monthly calendar with the month on one side of the sheet and a doctors appointment planner on the reverse side for the specific month on the front side of the sheet.

For those who require multiple medications there is a chart to keep track of your prescriptions so that you know when it was filled and how many refills you have left on the prescriptions.

Depending on what else besides your monthly doctors appointments and the information that you would routinely give to a clinic, specialist or when you are having a procedure done, you can have other things in it like a chart to keep track of you blood pressure, your blood sugar, your pulse & oxygen from an oximeter, and any chart that I can potentially make that could be added to the planner.https://sites.google.com/site/seansforms/

Occupy Boston

I feel like I belong in Occupy Boston due to the fact that the movement in general is trying to get it out there that there is more to our economy than the Uber Rich and Large Conglomerates.  At the same time I feel like the movement in general is the Hippy Movement, that has no focus or direction.

I had written a plan of action for the Occupy Movement to ponder which took roughly a month for anyone in the movement to give any feedback on it and the individual actually liked it enough to suggest that I bring it up in one of their forums.  I ended up joining a couple of their email lists and found that there are people that are interested in doing more than just protesting, the problem is, that the people involved don't necessarily know how to start an organization as large as what they are trying to get going but those who were serious about the movement are genuinely trying to get an organization going.

I applaud those in the Occupy Movement that are trying to make it more than just protesting.  I am more than happy to be apart of it provided they can actually get it going and are willing to take a serious look at my idea while allowing me to be apart of my idea.

Jobs and the crazy weather

The rich are saying that the middle class and the poor need to find jobs, while the middle class and the poor have made the point that the jobs that they are being told to get just aren't there due to the rich not creating jobs like the Republicans are saying they are doing by having a cap on the taxable income and the ever lowering taxes for the rich.

In the Midwest stretching from the Mexican boarder to the Canadian boarder that whole area has been been in a drought all year and it appears to be getting worse as time goes by. 

I would like to know why no one has thought of creating jobs by desalinating water on a scale that would help the Midwest with its water problems?  We have a total of 23 states that have some coastline and more than one territory that has coastlines, why not create jobs by building desalination plants along the coastlines of those states that have direct ocean access or build desalination plants a little way inland and build pipelines to the plants with there being multiple plants in each state that has the room for such endeavors.

Congress and the President

The mentality of Washington D.C. in 2011 has been that of the spoiled brats that would rather whine and stamp their feet to get exactly what they want and how they want it regardless of who they have to stomp on to get it.

Some individuals may even go so far as equating the politicians to what the politically incorrect people would say is them being on the "rag" so to speak with how they how closely some politicians resemble the mood of a lady who is menstrating heavily.

Congress especially the Republicans have tended to act the ways I have mention but the President has also fed into the mentality by to some degree acting the same way but then backing down as if he is all talk rather than the man of action that he passed himself off as while he was running for the office.

The way Congress and the President have been acting is demeaning and it belittles the struggles of everyone but the super rich in America which has left the general public demoralized to the point that people are starting to get fed up with the pissing contest and it has shown in the polls that the general public is of the opinion that the politicians are not doing the jobs that they were elected to do.

If it were a corporation we the people of the United States would have little to worry about aside from those in the corporation were directly affected by the the decisions.  Unfortunately the country cannot be treated like corporation that can dispense with things that it feels that it can live without and the mentality the politicians have right now is causing problems for millions of people financially and emotionally and the financial problems that they are causing for people are pushed onto the businesses who have felt pressured to reduce their spending due to a lack of want or need of the products they supply due to their customers not having the money to continue buying from them.

Remembrance

Remembrance

We cannot let ourselves forget the lives that were lost on that fateful day. Our way of life was changed that day when almost three thousand people died. We need to memorialize those that were lost on that day to help ease the pain of the great loss of innocent life.

We also need to honor those who we regard as heroes that died who if were able to talk would say that they were simply doing their job like they have done like any other day. They need to be honored in ways that reflect our desire not to let them have died in vane.

Those that were lost, their names forever will be whispered on the winds and will not have died in vane as long as we do fear those who would want to scare us into cowering by attacking us from the shadows.

Those who ran in to save people and paid the ultimate price need to be revered by making sure that everyone knows that a great many more people could have and would have died if it wasn't for the first responders.

Where there were hundreds of people from all over the world in the towers when they came down that day, it is not just an American tragedy, it is a world tragedy where many died thousands of miles away from their families and the places they called home with their families not being able to do anything to find their loved ones or to help those people that their loved ones called friends and today may still not have closure.

The last tragedy that the U.S. has had to deal with anywhere close to this magnitude is Pearl Harbor which brought WWII home for us and both events will forever live in infamy.

Like when John F. Kennedy was shot the one question that will be asked of those who were alive when the towers fell will be where were you when it happened.

With all the questions that have been asked the one that stays with me is the one my niece who turned seven that day which was "Why did those bad people kill all those people on my birthday?"

Remembering D-Day

Today we remember those who during World War II fought in the battles on D-Day.


On June 6, 1944 both sides showed their dogged determination in the multiple landing beaches that the allies landed on by not backing down when all seed lost until the battles were one.

The sacrifices made needs to be remembered so that no nation or groups of nations can make the same mistakes that caused such a war that produced such carnage.

We have teach people what happened and about the horrors of war, especially to those who don't want to believe that carnage like that can and does happen.

We cannot ourselves forget what has happened, and we cannot let our veterans who fought in the war in particular the battles on D-Day down.

The best history lessons come from those who have experienced the ordeal and it would be wise to have their stories preserved as part of historical records both as written accounts and as audio and video to show the human side of what they are experiencing as they tell their stories.

Without the people who stood up and fought when the world needed them the most, our world would be a scarier place than what it is now. For this they need to be honored and revered for what they did, we cannot forget the sacrifices of those who returned home draped in our flags letting others know of the sacrifice made for us.

When the last of the veterans who fought in World War II we will no longer have anyone alive for a living memory to teach us, so we must let them teach us what they have learned and explain what they have experienced for there is no higher way of honoring them other than taking care of them in a manner that let's them know we have not forgotten them or what they have done for us.

Donald Trump's commentary of late

Donald Trump has been shooting his mouth off when it comes to President Obama's citizenship and saying that he himself is thinking of running against Obama.  Evidently the records that Hawaii has on Obama's birth are not good enough for him to say that he is not a natural born U.S. Citizen.  The fact that he will not let the matter go even with the records showing that Hawaii recognized Obama's birth as having been in Hawaii, it says that he has something against him due to the fact that if he had something tangible against Obama when it comes to his citizenship he would have had to turn it over to the proper authorities. 

If Donald Trump is actually considering running for the office of President then he has to move on from the birther debate and actually start talking about why he would be a good president beyond saying that he is qualified for the position due to his fortune and his business sense.  If he is going to use his business sense as a credential then he will have to answer real questions as to why more than one of his business ventures has filed for bankrupcy protection.

It is time for Donald Trump to put up or shut up before he trumps himself out of any potential presidential bid with his chosen political party.

The Government Budget impass between the Political parties

I know I haven't posted in a while this is due to the fact I have been focusing on job searching rather than making comments about anything.

Lately I have been thinking of the Federal Government and the impass that the Politial Parties have on their hands at the moment.  Fortunately both parties can agree that budgets need to be cut but it is unfortunate that they cannot agree on what items in each departments budgets should be cut.  At the same time the budgets need to be cut the people in Congress needs to take a magnifying glass to the business practices of each individual office of each agency and department to see which practices are out dated or are impracticle, such as a redundancy that doesn't need to be there or the political cronies that are placed in different agencies that are put there over people who are actually qualified to be there.
